Trex® RainEscape® Deck Drainage System Expands Outdoor Living Space, Adds Value
WINCHESTER, VA – March 2010 | Trex Company announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Colorado-based Dri-Deck Enterprises, LLC, to develop and market an above joist deck drainage system called Trex® RainEscape®. The system creates a dry space beneath the deck that is suitable for the installation of deck lighting, ceiling fans and finished ceilings and represents a significant new potential growth driver for the nation’s largest manufacturer of wood-alternative decking, railing and fencing products.
Unlike competitive products – which make use of “under joist” technology – Trex RainEscape shields the joists, protecting them from water damage and deterioration that may occur over time, while also creating additional usable outdoor living space below the deck. In addition to being competitively priced, the system will be easy and efficient to install – making it an ideal solution for both contractors and do-it-yourselfers.
