A partner is defined as any NADRA member that was instrumental in a project entered into the 2018 National Deck Competition.
A partner may be:
A Manufacturer of: lighting, screws, framing, railing, footings, decking, underdecking, etc.
Architect / Builder / Designer
Upon entering the competition, a partner will select the “Partner Registration” category.
The Builder must enter the National Deck Competition and provide partners with their “Project Name”.
Upon entering the competition, a partner will include the “Project Name” that they are associated with. The entrant will be responsible for providing partners with their project name. This is a critical component of your entry. This is how NADRA HQ will identify your team.
If the project wins a national award, the partners who entered alongside the entrant may walk up to receive their award and recognition during the awards dinner.
All official partners will be recognized in NADRA news, blog, website, social media and various industry print and digital publications.

Acclaimed deck builders and industry enthusiasts from around the world traveled to Nashville, TN for the Remodeling show, DeckExpo and JLC Live (RDJ) at the end of last month. NADRA held several events while in Nashville. Below is a recap from each exciting event.
NADRA CPAC Meeting: 10/25/17
NADRA’s Consumer Product Awareness Charter Committee met on Wednesday morning prior to the golf tournament in Nashville. The CPAC Committee works to develop and implement consumer friendly labeling programs for outdoor living products. The committee presented details to a room full of NADRA Manufacturer members regarding its mission and accomplishments over the last 5 years.
The overall intent of this program is to provide the consumer with a simple, straightforward labeling program to assist in their product selection.
A recognized label will accompany easy to understand product performance measurements to educate consumers so they can make more knowledgeable product selections.
“This meeting was a great opportunity to discuss CPAC with a large audience of mfrs. Many misconceptions about the CPAC program were addressed. I hope everyone heard how CPAC makes sense and helps everyone improve sales, reduces friction costs and elevates the entire industry. ” says Committee Chair, Andrew Clements
The committee continues to work diligently; taking input from a range of supportive sources to drive the program to completion. You can review the slides on the presentation below from the annual meeting. For more information about CPAC and how you can get involved, please contact NADRA.

Leading Contractors Awarded for Unique Deck Builds using AZEK® and TimberTech® Materials
SKOKIE, IL — The recent North American Deck and Railing Association (NADRA) 2017 Annual Meeting in Nashville, Tennessee brought together industry experts in celebration of the most inspiring deck builds from the past year. Four of the award-winning decks were made using AZEK® and TimberTech® decking from AZEK Building Products.
With a beautifully-designed, two tone TimberTech deck, Fresh Decks from Sasketchewan won first place for Alternative Deck $25,000-$50,000. Completed from TimberTech’s Terrain Collection® in Rustic Elm, the unique deck features an inlayed mural with two evergreen trees, rolling hills, waves and a sun, framed by a box, pergola.
Lakesville, Minnesota-based Infinite Decks won two awards for Alternative Deck up to $25,000. Each project featured curved decking from AZEK, using colors from all three collections. One showcased Island Oak from AZEK’s Harvest Collection®. It included Hazelwood accents, from AZEK’s Arbor Collection®, for the picture frame and inlay. The other project featured AZEK in Dark Hickory from the Vintage Collection®.
“For these award-winning decks, we used various AZEK products to bring indoor living to the outdoors,” said Mark King, founder of Infinite Decks. “We’ve been working with the AZEK product for as long as we can remember. We do a lot of curved decks and we’re able to heat it up and manipulate it. With varying temperatures here, from 100 degrees in the summer to -20 in the winter, I want to use a product that I know can withstand the elements – and I know AZEK will hold up.”
AZEK also received a Manufacturer Award for a TimberTech Pecan deck with Mocha accent from the Legacy Collection®. The project was built by Archadeck of Nova Scotia and included a multi-level composite deck with Evolutions Rail® Contemporary in Traditional Walnut and Riser Lights.
“We’re thrilled that several of the winning decks at this year’s NADRA Awards featured AZEK Building Products,” said Patrick Barnds, General Manager of Decking and Railing at AZEK Building Products. “TimberTech and AZEK are engineered to combine high performance with low-maintenance so families can enjoy the beauty of their decks without worrying about upkeep. The winning decks this year are next-level in terms of design and we really appreciate the partnerships we have with contractors like Infinite Decks, Fresh Decks and Archadeck.”

CAMO® Hidden Deck Fastening System Used on Two NADRA®
National Deck Competition Award Winning Decks
GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. – National Nail Corp.’s CAMO Hidden Deck Fasteners were used in the construction of two decks that took first place in NADRA’s Third Annual National Deck Competition in the 2012 Best Dock and the 2012 Best Covered Deck categories.
NADRA hosted their Third Annual National Deck Competition Awards Ceremony on October 10. Attendees included NADRA members and guests, NADRA’s National Board of Directors, local Chapter Directors, along with many other industry professionals. The competition was open to NADRA builder members from across the United States and Canada. Finalists were selected by an elite panel andjudged on creativity, use of space and functionality, use of materials, andoverall visual appeal.
“From reading the descriptions that accompany the entries, it’s clear that these NADRA members put a tremendous amount of planning and thought into each project,” said Rick Schumacher, one of the panel judges and Publisher of LBM Journal. “I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again–there are a lot of Associations that serve the residential construction industry, but few if any can match NADRA’s energy, passion and commitment. It’s a great thing to be a part of.”
The 2012 Best Dock was submitted by Jon Witt of Witt’s Woods and Greens in Ontario, Canada. The dock was built using CAMO Hidden Fasteners and a variety of materials including Douglas Fir, Hemlock, Cedar and AZEK® PVC decking. The dock curves out from the shoreline in a wave-like pattern, and the deckboards are laid in a beautiful 45-degree angle pattern.
The 2012 Best Covered Deck was submitted by Rick Goldstein of the Mosaic Group, Inc. in Georgia. The project involved removing an existing deck and building a larger deck that includes a screened in porch, outdoor kitchen and living area. This deck was built using CAMO Hidden Fasteners and Gossen® Passport PVC decking.
